Weekend's are NEVER long enough

Another weekend is behind us.  Lisa worked her normal weekend shifts and is starting to feel the extra weight of the little one bearing on her body.  I think she will be glad when the pregnancy is behind us.  We are all excited to meet the little one.  We do not know if it is a boy or a girl.  Lisa and I enjoy being surprised.  As Lisa says, "There are very few true surprises in life" and she is right.  Bekah and Leah both would like a baby brother, but Bekah keeps changing her mind if she wants a baby brother or a baby sister.  She is afraid to lose her spot as the "baby girl."
Yesterday I planned to take the kids to the park and have a great day out.  Unfortunately, it rained much longer than I expected.  I made alternate plans and took the kids bowling.  It was the first time for Leah and Bekah and boy did they have fun!  Two little girls carried a 6 lb. ball each time it was there turn.  Leah would get so upset when she didn't knock any pins down.  With a sour face and her bottom lips sticking out, she would keep saying, "I didn't knock any down!" She kept thinking that she should be able to roll the ball until she knocked down some pins.
Rebekah was a trooper.  She would roll the ball and it would take what seemed like forever to get to the pins.  She would sit on her knees and watch the ball roll until it was half way down the lane.  Then she would get up and do a dance and come over by me.  By that time the ball was nearly to the pins and she could turn around and watch the ball tap the pins and on occasion she would knock one down.  After a while I started kicking the ball with my foot to help it down the lane.  If I hadn't we might still be at the bowling alley.
Sarah and Hannah both enjoyed themselves and were so happy that they each took a turn having the highest score.  I am not afraid to admit that they both beat me!  It was just a great time with my kids.  I can't believe how fast they are growing.  It seems like yesterday that Lisa and I were awaiting the arrival of Sarah and now she is 11.  I am so proud of Sarah and Hannah and all the things that they are doing.  We have been so blessed.
Lisa and I are sitting her enjoying the weather with the windows open as we unwind.  My creative and talented wife is working another baby blanket.  She already finished one for the new baby, but decided that it is a little too girly (in case we end up with a boy).  I'm not holding my breath on that one.  The odds definitely seem to be in my favor, but if we are talking percentages I'm 100% to 0%.  This much I will say, I will be happy either way.
